The ABA Forum on Communications Law will award full-ride scholarships to two law students to attend the Forum's Annual Conference. The scholarship includes registration fee, lodging, meals, airfare, and ground transportation.
The winning essay will be published in the University of Pennsylvania Law Review Online. The author will receive a $5,000 grant to support their related public interest work or the work of a non-profit organization or pro bono clinic. In addition, the author will receive a $2,000 cash prize. If the winning essay is co-authored, the authors will split this cash prize.
SELECTION OF WINNERS AND PRIZES: Two winners (a First Place and a Second Place) will be selected and notified by February 17, 2026. The First-Place winner will receive an award of $2,000. The Second Place Winner will receive an award of $1,000. As a condition of receiving any cash award, winners must submit a completed IRS Form W-9. Winners are responsible for all taxes associated with receiving an award. The First Place Winner will also receive an invitation to attend the ACREL Spring Meeting in March 2026, with the cost of travel and lodging paid for by ACREL in accordance with ACREL’s policies for travel reimbursement.
